More Practice & Immersion

Return to Hindi Syllabus

Kids learn their native language so fast because it is constantly forced through their ears and eyes. The more you immerse yourself in the language and the culture, the quicker you’ll master the language.

It’s all about staying consistent. If you’re a busy person in general, set up some small goals like “5 new vocab words a day” or “30 minutes a day dedicated to learning Hindi”. Find a routine that works best for you and stick with it.

3 Curated Resources

Took this idea from a coworker who was learning French. Change your phone language to Hindi, just make sure you know how to change it back when you’re not in your native language. It will change all the standard Apple system stuff like Time, numbers, months, settings. Some apps will change too.

Quizlet

free, Study Platform

You’ve probably used this before, if not, I’ll explain. Quizlet is essentially a community flashcard platform. Chances are someone’s already made flashcards for “Hindi clothes”, “Hindi letters”, etc.. so take advantage of it. Just use the searchbar.

/r/india

free, Subreddit

Sadly the Hindi subreddit isn’t active enough, but the india subreddit is a great one to get immersed in the culture. It’s almost always in english, but you can still learn a lot!
